Rihanna may have picked up Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (August 28). However Beyonce walked away with the title of possessing the most VMAs ever following her wins at last evening's awards ceremony. 

The Lemonade singer walked away with wins in the technical awards for "Formation," Best Female Video for "Hold Up" as well as Video for the Year. And even though her work with Kendrick Lamar on "Freedom" lost to Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign's "Work From Home" for Best Collaboration, Bey went home with a total of six moon men, which gives her two more than Madonna, who was the former VMA record holder with 20. 

Bey not only made headlines with her Lemonade medley performance, but she also caught everyone's attention by inviting the mothers of Oscar Grant, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin and Michael "Mike" Brown Jr. to walk with her on the red carpet.
