In a small studio, located in a trashy apartment complex in Southern California, just a few hundred meters from the pacific ocean – Marigold was born.
Since the release of their debut album ”Vagabond”, in June 2011, the band has been performing at various established locations such as ”Trädgården” (Stockholm, Sweden), the Peace & Love festival, (Borlänge, Sweden) and TV4 Nyhetsmorgon (Swedish national TV-show).Marigold has been frenetically working on their next album, what they refer to as their masterpiece, since the early autumn of 2011. “Allt kommer blir bra!” is said to represent hope for the future, maintained by the little mans own striving. The album will contain influences from the Swedish progg as well as music from the seventies such as Fleetwood Mack and Cat Stevens. An EP is also in the making, planned to be released in december 2013, ”Allt kommer bli bra!” is planned to be released in the early spring of 2014 .
Marigold will also be playing on the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas in March 2014.
